Meet the Team

Dane Intagliata

Founder, carpenter, farmer

Dane started his journey into land stewardship by completing an apprenticeship with Earthdance Organic Farm school in 2017. He then spent years farming on the big island of Hawaii with an emphasis on organics and permaculture. This lead to the creation of his first edible landscaping company, Microbial Solutions. After 3 years of satisfied and inspired clients, he relocated his family back home to Missouri. Shortly after, he earned his PDC pro (Professional permaculture design certificate) through Oregon State University’s program.

Dane worked with a friend’s company, Custom Foodscapes, in St. Louis for 2.5 years while discerning where to settle. New to the Springfield area, Dane is looking to share and apply the paradigm shifting education he’s accumulated from years of agroforestry mentorship, urban farming, and life experience.

After acquiring carpentry experience, Dane developed his own vermi-composting (composting with worms) system design, and has a way of adapting functional concepts into handsome presentation.

“What Dane brought to our land went far beyond maintenance. He inherited grounds that were quite barren to begin with - soil so depleted that not even the native grasses designed for our dry, arid climate would take root. In a few short years, he turned ground where nothing would grow into rich, living soil where just about anything will now thrive.”

Claire Intagliata

Founder, Designer, food processor, garden therapist

Claire is always reading people and landscapes; ever plotting how to bring relationships into harmony. Because of the generosity and grace of some inspiring mentors, Claire has a background in Korean natural farming, master food preservation, and agroforestry. Claire’s mission is to fuse the (albeit inextricably linked) worlds of soil and gut-microbiome health. It is Claire’s mission to bring the healing power of natural farming into the home— addressing and transforming one of the most detrimental, toxic, waste producing industries of our times; lawn care and conventional landscaping.

Some pivotal educational experiences for Claire include: helping to incubate the Mama Food Forest curriculum and graduating from that training, a certificate in plant-based nutrition from eCornell, a certificate from Hawaii Master Food Preservers, and completion of Korean natural farming training from the Institute of Natural Farming.

Claire will take into account the needs of her clients’ health into landscape design. She will insure that while the land is undergoing remediation, so too will the people who inhabit and/ or tend to the space benefit on a visceral level.
